Frequently Asked Questions:
What is considered the “event season” at Longleaf Vineyard (LV)?
Due to the outside nature of our venue (covered, yet still outdoors) LV event season runs late April through early November.
What is the guest capacity at LV? 150 , including bridal party
Does LV have a preferred vendor list?
Yes, we have a “recommended” vendor list. Clients are not required to use our recommended vendors and may bring in “outside” vendors…these vendors must read, agree to, and sign a “terms & conditions” document for your event. Caterer’s must be pre-approved by Longleaf Vineyard. Longleaf Vineyard supplies bartending service.
Does LV require a day-of coordinator?
Yes, LV requires a day-of coordinator and has an In-House Offering for your convenience. Outside planners are welcome.
What time do we have access to the property?
12noon until 11pm, unless previous arrangements are made with our venue manager for an adjusted time frame. This time frame does not apply to Intimate Weddings or Elopements.
Is early entry available?
Early access to the bride’s cottage is available for an additional fee. We will do our best to accommodate early vendor access requests (i.e early florist access to work at ceremony space), but must have advance notification.
Is rehearsal time included?
Yes, we schedule the rehearsal time 90 days prior to your event to assure an event is not scheduled on your rehearsal date. If there is a scheduled event, rehearsal time will likely be 11am.
How late can music be played at LV?
No later than 10pm.
Is LV pet friendly?
We allow up to 2 pets for a maximum 2-hour time frame (generally ceremony/photos). The pet must be on leash and attended to at all times by an assigned pet-sitter. Pets are not allowed inside venue buildings/structures.
What is the price of your Inclusive package?
Our inclusive package is custom to your needs and coordinated with a local event company we have partnered with. Price is $80pp +/-
Venue rental fee is a separate entity and remains the same when choosing the inclusive package.
Inclusive package is recommended for our destination couples but not required.
Is liquor (other than beer and wine) permitted?
Yes. Beer and wine are provided by Longleaf Vineyard, and with a Special Occasion Liquor permit you may provide liquor/mixers for your event. Longleaf bar staff will provide service.
Can buses make the entry road to LV?
YES, all but full-size coaches. School buses have become popular for transporting guests and can make the drive.
Is there ample parking?
Event parking is available for up to 40 cars.
Is there lodging on LV property?
No, but there are many vacation rentals and a lovely BnB in close proximity; closest hotels will be found in downtown Asheville (20-25min drive from LV). Additional information available upon request.
Does LV require the client to have liability insurance?
YES, we require $1M event liability insurance. We recommend WedSafe, WedSure, or Markel Insurance. The most economical approach is an “add-on” to your homeowner's insurance.
Are linens, china, flatware, glassware included? No, as we feel this is such a personal choice.
Rental companies are listed on our vendor list; caterers often assist with this task as well as wedding planners.
In-house assistance/management also available upon request.
